"In order to elevate students in our classrooms, we need to empower teachers to advocate for the most pressing and pertinent needs in classrooms across the state. The NC Working Conditions Survey offers teachers a way to share their opinions, give honest feedback and share what the real priorities are for them and for their schools. I am always so grateful to know I can provide my input!"

“As a teacher, I depend on my students to inform me about things that matter to them. I ask them daily questions, listen, and use this information to create a class culture of belonging and empowerment. The Teacher Working Conditions Survey is a tool that administration uses and needs to stay informed about us. As leaders, they want to know the same things about us we want to know about our students. It provides opportunities for them to see areas of strength and areas that may need improvement. The school climate informs the classroom climate. If one is healthy, the other will surely follow suit. It’s anonymous, provides a space for honesty, and gives teachers a voice.”
